All supply of aluminium products and related services by PMAA is governed by the following terms. The scope of supply includes standard and custom aluminium extrusions, the manufacture and use of custom dies, and finishing processes including mill finish, anodising, and powder coating. Materials supplied are typically specified according to alloy and temper requirements, such as 6061-T6 for applications requiring higher structural performance due to its precipitation-hardened condition, or 6063-T5 and T6 where surface finish quality and extrudability are prioritised.

Quotations provided by PMAA are generally valid for a defined period, typically 30 days, and are subject to variables including aluminium market pricing, often influenced by London Metal Exchange conditions, as well as freight and finishing costs. Orders are only confirmed once accepted in writing and must clearly reference approved drawings, alloy grade, temper designation, and finishing requirements to ensure alignment with manufacturing output.

Lead times vary depending on the nature of the product. Stocked extrusions may be available with minimal delay, while custom extrusion dies and profiles typically require several weeks due to tooling design, billet preparation, and production scheduling. Finishing processes such as powder coating are dependent on plant capacity and coating system requirements. Factors influencing lead time include profile complexity, alloy behaviour during extrusion, and the specific finishing process required.

Products are supplied in accordance with agreed specifications, including mechanical properties derived from alloy composition and temper, dimensional tolerances achievable through extrusion processes, and surface finish standards such as anodising thickness or powder coating film build. Powder coating systems supplied through PMAA utilise accredited systems including Dulux and Interpon with warranty structures of 10 to 25 years, and Jotun systems offering 15 to 25 years, subject to correct application and environmental classification. All pretreatment processes utilise OXSILAN, a chrome-free conversion coating system designed to improve corrosion resistance and coating adhesion without the use of traditional chromate treatments.

Payment terms are defined based on customer status, with approved accounts typically operating on standard credit terms and new customers requiring prepayment. Delivery conditions specify that risk transfers at the point of delivery or collection, with freight generally coordinated through third-party providers. Responsibility for unloading and site handling is determined at the time of order confirmation.

Any claims related to product quality or specification must be submitted within a defined timeframe following delivery and must reference the original approved documentation. Products that have been modified, installed, or used outside their intended application parameters may not be eligible for claims. Liability is limited to the supply of materials in accordance with agreed specifications, and PMAA is not responsible for indirect losses or design-related failures where aluminium profiles are applied outside recommended engineering practices.

Custom extrusion dies, unless otherwise agreed, remain the property of PMAA, while customer-supplied drawings and specifications are treated as confidential and used solely for the purpose of fulfilling the order. All transactions are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia.
